cable internet and IIS 5 under 2000

Hi, I have IIS 5 and a cable internet connection on a windows 2000 platform. To use the IIS 5 as a local server, and access it using http://localhost I have to disconnect my cable connection. Is there any settings I can change to the IIS or my cable connction or something else so I don't have to do this. Thanks in advance, illusion

if you type in the ip address of your server in the browser instead of the hostname what happens?

Hi, That doesnt work, I have also tried http://localhost:8080, which doesnt work either.
