When you get to the logon screen click on options and select the local computer from the drop down menu.

at the logon screen click on "Workstation only" checkbox. then type your workstation password, you will not be connected to the LAN.

Thks for your advise. But it didnt help.
Let me tell you what I want to do,initially, I thought this method will work. I am actually trying to install some softwares on my win2k machine. However, it appears that the administrator have block this right and I am not able to do so, how can I bypass that? So I thought by logging in without going to the LAN, they will not have the control, but it appears it doesnt work that way... is that another way I can try, pls help.. The administrator is not willing to help me...

What software is it? Sometimes you can get lucky and install it on a machine you have full rights on, then burn the installed program location onto a CD, then copy and paste onto the protected hard drive. You will have problems if it wants system files and other dll's, but sometimes you get lucky. I know Unreal Tournament can be done this way :)

Hi! Got nearly the same prob, but in my case, I forgot the admin-passwordŽand my father won't tell me anymore (what an asshole!). So I can just enter with another login that has nearly no rights. That means, I can't install my newer games. Please, how can I bypass/crack/hack the win2000 login or get administration rights?
