But if I restart my computer it is working properly for some time, then again same problem.Copy and paste functions are not working.Even in recyclebin emty recyclebin button is disappearing.
Kiran.

It sounds like a worm or virus or some of those irritating adware programs. I had a workstation that was acting weird and it had to do with Adware (I expected it to be a worm or virus but it ended up being a combination of those stupid adware helper programs.)
Check for worms and viruses. Also get rid of any programs such as NCase, Gator, WhenUSave, anything that is not being used and that is not required by Windows (most of them you can hop out to the Internet and check their names at www.sarc.com if you want to make sure they are adware). Also read any popup windows you get when you uninstall them because they will often "trick" you into leaving some of their software on your machine.
Also check your processes tab in Task Manager, look for any programs running with .vbs endings. Those are usually worms/viruses because they are visual basic script (thus the vbs). Also get rid of unnecessary .exe files running. You can check a lot of the processes just by checking them on the Internet (assuming you can get out to it). Every so often you will kill something that forces you to re-boot but it will re-boot fine. Don't worry about the SVCHOST.exe files (usually) because you can have a number of those, it's a Windows file that is sort of a generic service program. You can have worms/viruses use those to their advantage but it's hard to tell who is using that specific service in the case of a worm/virus.
If you are comfortable checking your registry ... DISCLAIMER ... you can reeeeaaaallyy mess things up in here so make a back up or don't mess with it if you are unsure ... , look in your HKLM\Programs\Microsoft\Windows\currentversion\run and check out what is set to run everytime your start up. Delete any keys in the right hand window pane that are programs you don't want running on start up. (Again, double check before deleting) Also, it is recommended to make a back up of your registry prior to making changes to in (just in case you "blow it up" ... been there ... done that one). Check out www.technet.com about backing up your directory (search for ERD or backing up registry).
Hope this helps - Vanessa
