For some reason, I cannot burn with Nero 5.5. I was able to burn before, with the same software, but all of a sudden i started getting buffer underrun errors after 1 second, burning from the hard drive. I closed a bunch of programs and tried burning at 1x, and it still didn't work. I have 256 MB RAM, so that isn't the problem. I tried to burn a tiny file, and i still got a buffer underrun, which should not be possible. Then, I even tried running it from a different OS, and still wont work. What could the problem be?

What type of cd are you trying to burn.
I tried burning VCD's with Nero and kept getting an "out of memory"error.
Turns out it was a bug in the software.
Get the fix at:
ftp://ftp5.nero.com/nerovcd.zip

Might not be the exact info you need, but hopefully helps.

My dear friend:

I had the same problem ... it will burn not if you are running any type of Antivirus software. I dont know why ... but now when I go to burn and I disable my Anti-virus program ... burns clean as a whistle within minutes everytime!

Hope that helps if not go to nero.com and they have live chat help running now!
