Hi. I just bought a Rackable Systems server (COM10780: http://www.surpluscomputers.com/seo... The MoBo is the Intel Server Board SE7501WV2.
I need to install Windows 2000 Server, but as soon as I get to the point where it says "Setup is now starting Windows 2000" I get a BSOD. The error is: *** Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF6863848, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE
Things I've tried:1. Installed Windows Server 2003 without a problem. Unfortunately, I need to use 2000.
2. Download SCSI and RAID Drivers from Intel, load with F6. BSOD.
3. Download SCSI and RAID Drivers from Intel, slipstream. BSOD.
4. Slipstream Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 4. BSOD.
I've been ion contact with Rackable Systems Tech Support, but they've been no help at all.
Can anyone PLEASE help me. I really needed this server up and running last week.
Thanks in advance!

Did you Google that error?

Thanks for the responses. I actually have it working now.
What I did:
1. Attached an IDE floppy drive to the board (needed an external source for power).
2. Installed Windows 2000 Server with SP4.
3. Hit F6 and loaded my own SCSI drivers from a floppy (which I put in the IDE floppy drive).
It's working perfectly now! Thanks again!

Thanks for getting back to us. Obviously something went wrong with your slipstreaming or else it would have worked.

i purchased the same system from computer surplus. didn't realize it lacked cd drive and trying to get xp corp loaded.
i plugged a usb cd rom in the front usb port of the rackable and it didn't recognize (assuming i need drivers, etc.). tried to plug cdrom direct to ide cable in the rackable case, but the cables are smaller (maybe they are ultra dma and my cd drive is ide?).
what is the best way to get my cd connected to the rackable and will i be able to make that my primary boot?
should i get a scsi to ide cable and plug my cdrom into the front of the rackable? should i get an ide to ultra dma and connect my cdrom inside the rackable case?
thanks
seth
