Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to receive broadcast messages on a Windows 2000 Professional Workstation, in a Novell 4.11 environment, with Client for Netware Services running. I dont want to install the actual Novell Client due to 3rd party application restrictions with the novell client. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

install the nwlink protocol on your network adapter. Start - setings -- Network and Dialup Connections - Right click your LAN Connection - Select Properties - Select Install - Install two NWLInk protocols. Make sure the binding on your adaptor is set to receive the correct Novell frame type, for example 802.2 or 820.3 etc. If you are not sure, set to Automatic. If you are running multiple frame types, use Manual to add all four possible frame types.
