Reply: (edit)Unlike Windows 98, I don't think you can boot to DOS with Windows 2000. However you can open a command prompt window to run DOS commands from within W2K. If you don't see a shortcut to the command prompt in your Start menu, you can select Run and type "cmd" (without the quotes).

Reply: (edit)You can create two partitions; the first with MS-Dos and the other with Win2K. I did this on my workstation then I can choose Windows 2000 (default OS) or MS-DOS. Works pretty good. Also if Win2k gets so hosed up that I can't get into it I can still boot to DOS and try to work through the problem. You can download all of the MS-DOS files from bootdisk.com or a simular website then just put them on the MS-DOS partition.
