I am looking for boot disk(s)for Win-2KPro work station. I understand that I can make boot disks using an install CD but I do not have the install CD. Bootdisk.com has 6 floppies then refers me to a Win CD web page that is not working. Dr.D's has a 5 floppie down load. AnswersThatWork has a 1 floppie download. None of these sites offer directions on how to use their downloads. I am looking for an out-of-the-box bootdisk set up that I can trust will work. Any ideas?

If you installed Win2K on a FAT32 partition then you can use a Win98 boot disk.

I just went back to bootdisk.com and it appears that the web site has been updted since I last accessed the site. Before downloading the win 98 package, I revisited the Win2KPro bookdisk section. DrD's setup includes 4"cdboot.images" downloads then a "cd boot image disk utilities to create win 2k disks from cdboot.images". Can someone explain how to use this set up?

What are you using the bootdisk for? Depending on what you need to do will determine what type of disk you need.

Example:
If you want to fdisk and format then all you need is a win98 disk.

If you want to repair a win2k install then you will need the set of 4 win2k boot disks.

If you want to connect to a network drive and run ghost over the network then you will need a boot disk that loads network drivers and the appropriate network protocols.

I am interested in OS recovery. I do not need it right now, but I want to be prepared in the event it is needed. Am I on the right track ? Can someone explain how to use the 2KPro 5 disk set up that is downloadable from Dr.D's Bootdisk.com ?
