Hi,
Its known as the "blue sceen of death" it can be caused by numourous amount of things, i.e, unsigned drivers, hardware not being on the hcl (Hardware Compatability List). Have you installed anything recently, what was your last action before this dreaded blue screen appeared? You can find the un-signed drivers on your system, by going to start, run, and typing sigverif, this will display all the unsigned drivers. Hope this helps.

What service pack are you running on Windows 2000? Windows 2000 is a very stable and efficient operating system, however I had all kinds of errors and problems with it (including a blue screen here and there) before I applied any service packs after the initial installation. I recommend going to Microsoft's website and downloading the Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 if you haven't yet.
