I've been getting all sorts of blue screen errors during Win2K Pro installation that won't let me go any further. Any steps I should take to fix this? System specs: Intel PIII 800,PC133 384MB RAM,ATI Rage Fury Pro 4X AGP,SB Live 5.1, Plextor 8/4/32,Toshiba 16X DVD,Realtek PCI NIC card, Netgear 10X Phoneline PCI card.

Can you be more specific as to what Blue Screen Error(s) you have received ? That would help me possibly solve this problem.
Upgrade or full install ?
Also, do you use Adaptec software (Easy CD Creator, Direct CD) ? if yes, what version do you have ?

I was trying to do a clean install. Blud Screen Errors were mostly about "unable to load device drivers". I was wondering if the problem is caused by my ABIT SE6 M/B which supports ATA100. If so, how do I provide the ATA drivers upon installation? Or should I remove all my devices except the video card and set the BIOS to default before installation?

Sounds to me, like you have a bad installation cd. Your ATA100 drivers are normally found on the CD that comes with your mobo. How far along do you get with the installation ?

It is not a bad disk ignor the one that said that, one thing that I have found to be the No#1 problem with win2000pro is display adapter ati I have never had any luck with them, nivida is a good one for use with this operating system 3DForce B-128 is a good low dollar one it works very well, before you change the display adapter try this take all hardware out of the unit except the display then try to do a clean install booting from the cd, make sure you have failsafe or default settings set in the bios setup and set it to boot from cd first, If it still gives you the fatal error it is not memory, change the display adapter first, the next and only problem left is that the mother board does not like it, I will give you some that is very compatible Mainboards, BIOSTAR,Spacwalker, some Asus I do now that Asus Dual processing boards are exelent , If the install is giving you the blue screen while loading files and installing divices.
