Comment:

i ran into this problem just recently.

my machine starts up, i can see start up texts on the screen for a second, then everything goes blank. i then see the windows logo for a second, indicating the OS is loading, then the screen goes blank again. if i shut off the screen and turn it on, i can see screen images for a second, then it goes blank.

it looks like the machine is working. but something is wrong with the video card or something. i tried different montors but had the same results.

if i restart the machine after letting itrun for 20 minutes or so, everything would become working correctly. monitor shows images.

is it a main board issue or a video card issue? i am trying to see which one should i buy.

Try moving your video card to a different slot or just make sure it's not loose on the motherboard.

If it works in another slot fine, it was either loose or that slot is bad on the motherboard.

If it has the same problem in a different slot, I would say it's most likely the card.

Good luck - Vanessa
