Hi There !
Here what u can do is, u just enter the bios setup and there u might get an option where in u can set a supervisor password , there set the password u want and that's it, ur bios is locked and not can open the bios setup without that password. sometimes there might be a default setting in the bios that if u decide to keep a supervisory password then it would ask for the password everytime the computer starts so here as u wont only the cmos locked so u would have to edit these setting to if that problem arises. As here u have not specified ur bios setup version so I can't tell where will u get this option for the Supervisory password, but generally its an option just available in the main window or in the general or the security window. And yes also one care u have to take is that if u forget ur bios password then it can be a problem as it would never ever allow u to go into the bios setup without the password , in such a case what u would have to do is remove the battery , a button battery which is on the motherboard for around half an hour so ur bios setup will be reseted, but here u will also loose all the bios setting which u have done and the bios will be set to defaults when u switch on the computer. So do keep this password in a safe place. I think so this much would be enough to solve ur query even if u have more u may ask me on mitulgk@hotmail.com
Regards
Mitul
