The BIOS has nothing to do with kernel32.dll or internet explorer. You should not have to "clean" internet explorer 5 to upgrade to 6, as the setup has been designed to replace IE5 with 6 for you.
Getting the internet explorer 6 installer is another problem though ... microsoft have taken down the servers hosting the setup files.

That is the full installer, however I don't know if the Portuguese language packs are included.
Even if you get it to work, IE6 isn't going to do you much good because many sites have stopped supporting it. I suggest you try a more modern browser such as Firefox.
