Hi. I always notice that in Win2k Pro, whenever I edited an HTML file (I don't know if this also applies in other files), a .bak file always appears on the same folder where its located.
I don't know what is this .bak file is for. I presume that this is safe to delete so I used to delete it.
Question: How do I able to configure my Folders so that it wouldn't produce a .bak file?

It's not a w2k function but may be a feature of the editor you're using.
When you open an HTML file, open the BAK file and see what's in it. (use right click, open with to view it) If it is not the same as the HTML file then something else has created it.
