Backup Exec 9.0 and 12/24 dat drive

Comment:
I have Backup Exec 9.0 and a Compaq 12/24 dat drive. Compression will not work on the tape drive in BE. I can use the built in w2k backup software and it puts all 22gb of space on 1 tape. When I run the same thing thru BE, it goes to 2 tapes. Anyone have any ideas of what I can look for?

Veritas put out some updated drivers for their drives. Use them and not the Windows drivers. It helped me out with a Compaq Library. the file is: bnt86idrv36_253800.exe at http://support.veritas.com/
