I have a Windows 2000 Server that crashed. I have re-installed and restored data from Backup Exec 8.6 fine. I have rebooted into AD Restore mode (it is the only server and DC) and successfully started all BE services. When I try to restore system state, nothing happens. The elapsed time continues to run, but the drive does nothing. I have verified the selection of the tape drive on the restore/general tab, so I know it is supposed to be looking in the right place. Here are some details about the job: Job Status: Running; Operation: Restore Scan; Device: (this field is blank). It has been running for almost an hour like this. Does anybody have any ideas?

Okay, this one got me a little curious, so I went out and hit the web for you. You didn't say exactly HOW you were restoring the system state data, so I think that's your problem. Try looking at the Microsoft KnowledgeBase article Q240363 found here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;240363
