I had some virus and deleted them, cleaned my system. But one symptom still remains. When I right click the background, under the background tab the select section is locked. I can't change by background. The original wallpaper is behind this blue background. Any help for this?

Zenith,
I went there and read that. That is exactly what my background is doing. However I looked everywhere that instructed me to and did not find that file.?? I am still searching. Spy Sheriff was one of the virus's I had found.
Thanks for the lead though. Perfect match to this problem.

Dirty_Sanchez, I did't delete the video driver, and display is not stuck. Thanks though.

I have been able to remove the "blue screen" from the desktop! Thanks for the insight. When I right click the background, under the background tab the select section is still a solid gray background and locked. I can't change by background. I will keep working on it.

I don't understand what happened but now the blue screen is back. I deleted a file called KERNEL32.exe and had it repaired I thought.

Frustrated! Any other specific help?

Well guys STOP GOING TO PORN SITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Well since thas not going to happen here you are

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

That is the registry folder where u need to go

Start > run > regedit and get to that folder then you will see a thing called Wallpaper - Delete the contents and restart your system. You will be clean.

As for task manager not working. Just do gpupdate /force

Also make sure you go start > run msconfig and under startup tab remove the winstall and the other crap that looks like you ddint install it

delete c:\winstall.

Happy dayss oh happy DAYS OH HAPY DAYS.

WWW.PORN.COM GO THERE now ... at least you'll know how to remove the crap u put on ur computer.
