Avi (Y41P) dont play under Win2k

Greets,

i have an avi files, which was create under win98! under win98 the avi played without any problems.. BUT

under win2k, the avi doesnt play, windows media play count the time and has a black window!

A freeware player gave me the error message, the vids:y41p codec is missing!

Any idea how i can fix the problem?

avi (Audio Video Interleaved)

you need to upgrade your AVI drivers for w2k.

have you tried to download the win2k codec? the ones for win9x dont work in win2k, you need the win2k version of it.

i installed Nimos Codec package...normaly all needed codecs should be included, but same problem.

Do you know where to the correct drivers for win2k?
