I have a avgserv.exe running at startup in my task manager- i cannot shut this process down (it denies me) and i suspect it to be a virus of some kind- all virus scans thus far come back clean- ive searched a few possible things connected
Wini.exe.
Tapisvc.sys

and found tapisvc.dll but cannot remove it
any ideas on how i can get this outta my system?

avgserv.exe is a process belonging to the AVG AntiVirus Internet security application.

XoftSpy PCscanner should get rid of wini.exe and tapisvc.sys, which indicates the Backdoor.Optix.04.d virus: http://www.paretologic.com/xoftspy/lp/14/

If that doesn't work, check this link:
