Hey guys, i have a windows 2000/millenium edition and i use windows xp software. The problem is everytime i go to normally run my computer, it reboots and a blue screen pops up for a few microseconds and sends me to safe mode options on my next reboot. I tryed using system restore but that reboots my computer as well when i try to run it. All help would be apreciated.
"i have a windows 2000/millenium edition and i use windows xp software"
I'm not sure what any of it means - - 3 distinctly different OSes are claimed, yet the stated OS is XP (and this is the Win2K forum)
"Manufacturer/Model: windows 2000"
... again, that is an OS, not a manufacturer - best if you can determine which (Control Panel -> System -> General) and then select the appropriate forum for your query

yea im sorry, i dont know alot about computers. yes it is a windows ME, i tryed reinstalling my service pack (2), but now every time i click last know good configuration or safe mode (or anything at that) it wont boot up. I have the service pack reinstallation disk but how can i get it so i can reinstall it (or just get onto safe mode.)
I don't think you actaully checked, as advised, since 'last known good configuration' is not a WinME boot option - as well, Windows Millennium had no service packs as such
Just look and see what OS you are running - sounds like XP(?), but it's something to marvel at that you don't seem to know
Fixing these problems yourself requires a minimal familiarity with what you have - lacking that, it's going to be uphill at best. It's also nearly always essential to have the M$ installation CD (which should provide a clue all on its own)
