OS: 2000 professional
CPU/Ram: Petnium 3

I recently tried to upgrade from windows Me to 2000 professional. Now when i try to log on with my user name and password my computer automatically reboots and returns to the same log on prompt. I cant even access my CD drive to try to reinstall windows Me. Any help

Try hitting F8 and booting into safe mode and go from there.

When in safe mode all, the is a black screen and nothing else shows up but the words safe mode. No commands work. What do you think i should try

If it is a regular Windows 2000 installation CD that you used, you should be able to put the CD in the drive and turn on the computer and it will boot off the CD and take you back into the setup program. Once you're there, there's an option to do a 'system repair'. You might want to try that.
