Can anyone recommend any software that can automatically shutdown win 2k at a given time (that actually powers the system down too). If I manually shut it down it powers down, but using utils like autoshutdown and shutdownNow! just give the the 'Its safe to turn off now' screen.

Hi,
Have you got an ATX power supply. If not, then you PROBABLY can't do what you want to. If you have, just use advanced power management in settings, and set a time-out for automatic hibernation!

Use the AT command in DOS. You can research in on Microsoft's website. AT stands for automated, and you can specify actions and times as parameters to the command.
