Hello,
I am creating a script that installs and configures new Dial Up Networking connection. The part I can't get is how to install the standard 19200 modem driver on Com1. I found this technet article but have had no success with this. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;1949 41
Is there an easy way to do this, or a third party program? Thanks!
Let me clarify a little. I am not adding any hardware. Let's assume Win 2000. The process where you go to the CP, Modems, Add, Select from list. Select Standard 19200 modem driver, on Com1, finish. Then the DUN creation script that I already have working comes along to utilize that modem driver. Just can't get the first step, which is to get the driver in there, in an automated process. Thanks.

you can use the wininstall le program that comes on the windows 2000 cd. read about it here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/planning/management/veritas.asp
it is primarily used for packaging applications but can also be used for driver installs and configuration changes.
