Comment:

I want to audit account logon successes and failures in our Windows 2000 server domain. I changed the default policy to allow this and refreshed the policy and even waited several hours but the Security login in Event Viewer still does not show any entries. Is there something else I need to set to be able to audit account logons.

Have you followed the directions shown here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300958 and/or here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300549

If so, are you changing this in the local policies, or in a domain group policy?
