Comment:

I have recently upgraded to W2K and my sound is not working at all. Previously when I made to dual boot and if I started 95 first and then restart it to w2k then the sound works!. Now because of the space problem I have made only w2k and I don't have any way to get back my sound to work. I checked the device manage for sound, I found its configured to use "Analog Devices 1816 codec(WDM)"

Any help is appreciated.

Reinstall the sound board with windows 2000 compatible driver from your hardware vendor.

This was a 'bug' fixed in Windows 2000 SP2. Goto http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and get the service pack! If the service pack doesn't work, I'd suggest to look at driver updates for the product

Kindest Regards,
