ASPI drivers and SCSI/IDE error

Comment:
I recently reformated, and installed windows 2000. I have a 8x4x32 CD-RW drive, so I installed the ASPI drivers (version 4.60). A program I have to check the installation (Adaptec ASPI)tells me that the drivers were properly installed, and there are 2 host adapters detected. Yet, when I try to make a CD, I get a SCSI/IDE error (using Nero 5.0). Is this a ASPI driver error of some sort, or something else?

One make damn sure its the right drivers two make sure you have the cd rom listed in device manager and it sees it. three make sure your cd rom can handle aspi drivers. four try another software burning manufacture five get aspi drivers from your cd rom manufacture or check to see if they can point you to them. six make sure its running on correct port seven make sure the two host adapters arent overriding each other. eight make sure you have your drivers installed for your cd rom before you install aspi. nine reformat hardrive and reinstall windows then first thing you should do is try installing when nothing eles is on computer.
