This is not the right forum for this comment but there are a few people that hang around here, who's opinion or comments I would like.
I've had some problems with attempts to intrude my computer. The vast majority (about 90%) have been AOL members.
I have written several e-mails to them but no response so I decided to call them. They told me, that they don't do anything about these "hackers"! They have too many members they say and won't take the apropiate measures, even though I have the log with all the info. that is required for AOL to do so.
This basically means that as an AOL member you can send viruses, steal passwords and creditcard numbers and do other damage to other people's computers! Who should be responsible for the horrible results that these things may have? I beleive, that if someone give them all the information they need in order to track a member, they should shut down his account, but apparently AOL WANT them members, no matter what kind of poeple it is, as long as they pay their bills. What do you think?

I can understand your annoyance. My thinking is, we are all responsible for our own computers and must take the necessary steps to protect ourselves from instrusions. ie: a good firewall, and lots of common sense. You say AOL members are trying to intrude. If you have ICQ then it will show as an AOL hit when you are msging with other ICQ members. Not necessarily an intrusion hmm...

If you are that worried about people "hacking" into your computer as you say and you have taken the appropriate steps to prevent this such as a good firewall and AOL refuses to do anything then you need to contact a lawyer with some experience in computer crimes.
