Hi

Can anyone name some Cheap Internet Firewall Hardware please? i have been lookin about but cant really find any of any use. We currently just use software on a PC, but we are getting broadband, and my boss is wanting to have the users all linked up to it, but have a Hardware Firewall connected inbetween the line out for boradband and the PC's.

If you get what i mean, dont know how to explain it but im hopeping someone understands!

Just so i have like lets say..

PC -- PC -- PC -- PC -- PC

linked up to a hub, thats then linked to a internet firewall, and then out to who ever our broadband supplier is.

If it can be done anyways!!!

Thanks

Graeme

Both DLINK and LINKSYS have routers with built in firewalls that are very reasonable in price and easy to set up. Just make sure to get one that has enough ports for your needs.

Forgot to add that another advantage of a router over a hub is that a hub will require an address for each pc from your ISP. A router only requires one ISP address from your ISP.

broadband router/switch only costs a little more than the hub you have now. replace it with a linksys box, (i prefer the liksys to dlink, just my personal choice).
