Does anyone have any suggestions and links for a freeware photoshop-type application?

I want to do things like remove 'red-eye' and make digital photos look different for a family webpage.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Irafnview is also good but Gimp has more editing capabilities.

Here are two that i've tried.Don't know if they'll remove red-eye as I've been using them for other types of image manipulation.

Serif photo 5.5>available at the freeware area of the Serif website. You've got to register it over the phone(800 number)&they'll email you with their product offers but no spam.

Orien Gold 2.6>much more robust&no registration. For me, harder to find to download.Went to winsite.Typed in "screen capture" in the search box&halfway down the list of programs there it was.Sounds crazy, but the easiest way to find.

PhotoFiltre is also nice.
It's a French program, but also has an English version ( and well-translated )

Bonne chance !
