Hi, Any Application setup hangs in my Windows 2000 machine. I can see setup.exe, is_setup.exe in taskmanager. But no installation wizard comes. I have tried active sync and one CD writer software. Both are not getting installed. Actually I have installed both on my previous windows 2000 installation(after that I have installed again my OS and removed old applications totally) I have checked few old messages. But they are not related to my problem.

Don't know if this will help; in win 9x disableing norton av temporarily would fix this. CC Ryder

Raju,
Don't know how you are logging on, but you have to be a Power User or higher to install apps.
