I need the usb drivers for win2000. the native ones by MS are crap. the speakers sound better when it's removed. went to altecs site be damned if I could find any there.
I am in the same boat. Just formatted from 98 to 2000, and I am stuck with the crappy quality of non-USB speakers. 2000 giving me hours and hours of problems. Email me if we ever find the solution...
UPDATE!!!!! Well, after spending about 10 minutes to find the Technical Support menu option I finally got through to a human. They said Altec Lansing has NOT and will NEVER develop drivers for Win2000. They say it is not worth it to develop drivers for a "Corporate" OS. I chewed him out that it is not like NT anymore, it is not just used for servers anymore. We are all screwed, that is what it comes down to...

Same story here..I find it incredible that Altec Lansing can so totally neglect the need from users, I mean how long does it take to make a driver compatible with win2k anyway?!? Now, my dear brothers, what can we do about it to voice our dissapointment? I was thinking something like a massive e-mail attack demanding a new program for win2k. Those of you who have tried the ADA305 with USB, is there a big difference? I have'nt even been able to install the software on my puta. How can we make AL take notice and do their duty to the people who have spent money on their products, like us...?
