OK bit of a newbie question to be fair:

How would I go about allowing users to install programs/drivers on their own PCs? Is there a built in user group in Active Directory (besides "Administrators" group, thats too much control). Or should it be done in group policy (if so how).

thanks in advance for the advice,

-Jack

Here's what I recommend. Create a local Admin account for the user. When the user wants to install software they can use the RunAs option.

The only other choice you have is to put the Domain User Account in the Local Admin Group, which is a bad, bad idea....
