yesterday my laptop started behaving like it was having low memory problems. I rec'vd a half dozen messages about SVCHOST.exe has generated an error and will be closed/created a log file. Also got the message that RPC service has terminated. Aside from acting strangely, media player will not run... when clicking on a media file, the player blinks then disappears. Crystal works, but sometimes locks up. Also, I can chose "copy" on a file name, but when I choose another folder and try and paste, the "paste" is no longer an option. These problems go away when I reboot, but return shortly thereafter. One more thing, my dial up is not allowing me to disconnect the modem in the task bar- I have to physically unplug my phone line to drop my dialup connection...Something funny going on around here... helap is much appreciated. FWIW, I loaded Nortons most recent definitions then installed SP4.
