On my Dell PC you have to reset this 'switch' in the bios. During power up enter the bios (Del key or F! etc), look for the 'Cover removed' dialogue and reset it, continue the reboot.
Or.... Upon bootup, see what key you need to press to get into BIOS. My Dell OptiPlex GX110 shows F2=Setup. When in your BIOS, look for Intrusion Detection, set to Disable, Save & Exit, you are good to go.
