Hi,
I looked on a lot of website for this, couldnt find anything. I can only find WINNT drivers, and i tried both 4.0 and 3.5 and it didnt work. I always get the same error message when trying to install windows 2000, which is "Setup did not find any hard disks drives". I pretty much think this error is related to the fact that it cant install the SCSi controller. However, i'm quite new to all this SCSi thing, so i guess i could use some help hehe.
Regards..

That is a built into the mainboard controller right? It's an adaptec. You should find the driver for this controller on the mainboard cd or download from the mainboards [asus?] web site. Only use 2000 driver as you have learned.
That is a common scsi interface and W2K install should have the driver by default. How is the scsi drive connected, what id and how is are you terminated?
Or when booting up and the scsi controller comes up does it list the drive(s)? and at what id#?

AIC-7880 isn't a card, it's the chipset found on the following Adaptec cards - AHA-2940, AHA-2940U, AHA-2940UW, AHA-2940UW Pro, AHA-2944UW, AHA-3940U/UW/UWD
Most likely you have the 2940 card. It was the most popular. Go here to get the drivers needed for Win2K
http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.jsp?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=/Product/AHA-2940&filekey=w2k_v100b_pci_drvs.exe

Yea, its an onboard SCSi controller. The server is an Acer Altos 9100, so i went to Acer website and Adaptec website, and there werent any Win2k drivers available.
I tried the Seagate Drives utility, cause it wouldnt even detects the drives at the beginning, and now i can see the whole thing. Actually i got 3 SCSi drives mount into a RAID5. So now i can see the drives in the utility and during the boot.
Edited;
Well, i tried to install the Mylex Raid drivers (the one on acer's website) and it didnt work. When i looked during the boot, it says;
Drives : 0 (0,0,0) Adaptec RAID-0
Thats weird cause i tought it was in RAID-5 heh. And when i enter the SCSi drives utility, i can see the Tape Backup on SCSi ID#2 - The cd-rom on SCSi ID#5 and the SCSi adapter on ID#7.

Alright,
I wanted to make a quick reply just to say that i figured something out. The problem wasnt the SCSi controller, but the RAID controller, and as mentioned on Acer's website, its not a mylex RAID controller, its an Adaptec 3000. So i got the drivers for that, and i'm rebuilding the disk arrays right now into a RAID5.
Thanks for your help ;)
