After I reset the CMOS (I have moved the jumper and also got a new battery), my computer says something like "hardware abnormal" in red when I boot it up. I then usually proceed to ignore this message by pressing any button. Sometimes my computer will run just fine for a few days, sometimes it will work for a few hours before a blue screen emerges. I usually load the default settings after resetting the CMOS and I am still having tremendous difficulty running my computer normally. Please help me! Thanks!

Pull out your mainboard manual or go to the mainboards web site. Find out what the error means. Could be your mb is shot or you have misconfigured the mainboard. Doublecheck all jumpers and settings.
Clearly resetting your bios is not the solution and hence should not be continued.
Find out if the ram you have is well seated and correct for the mainboard.
