a friend has lost his admin password and he is using as a USER ... so he cant access his PC fully

Reply: (edit)L0phtCrack has ability to bruteforce passwords from hash and pwddump files, takes time but works and will show all passwords in clear. alternatively there are many linux boot disks aval on net which instead of extracting passwords in an encrypted format for L0phtCrack to sniff at, force a password change on the sam of nt immediately. this is more overt since you cant hide the password hack, but if its your system what the hell. top tip: create a backup admin account!
