add/remove programs not working

Im trying to install a program on my computer but when I go to add/remove programs thru the control panel, i get a blank white diag. box. Does anyone know what the problem is and help me fix it.

i have the same problem, mine doesn't allow me to view any of the programs i have installed. do you have the same problem? i've had this problem for at least 2 weeks now, and it'd be great if i could find out how to fix it finally!

Hi to both. This often happens if you copy a drive to another drive, the add/remove folder stays empty for some reason. if this is not the case, I would suggest reinstall windows over itself. You wont lose any information or any settings, and should take no more than forty minutes. hope this helps. Have a nice day, and seasons greetings.

The unistall is registered in H_key_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\unistall.

Thnx all. I had tried reinstalling windows over itself with the computer on before posting this message and it didn't work. This time, I did an emergency repair and reinstalled windows over itself thru that when i rebooted the machine. It worked that way. Hope this helps u brownsoundbass and anyone else with this problem.
