I changed my password during the Holiday, and now i forgot it. But now my computer just askes for the password. no user.just password.I tried to use the ERD disc but it just keep coming up enter password. When i hit either enter or ESC without a password, it comes up account disable. Then i have to restart the CPU.Can anyone help?

I think what you are trying to say is that you set up a machine (or system)password. System passwords protect the entire computer from unauthorized access. They are dangerous because if you forget the password, you can't use the computer (or you can only use it in limited mode). To fix this problem, you will need to reset the CMOS/BIOS chip. Look on this page for instructions.

just unplug the CMOS battery. (a little wafer type battery about the size of a quarter located on the motherboard. wait about 10 minutes and put the battery back in and reboot your machine.
