Server is running Windows Server 2000, workstation Windows XP Pro SP1, no firewall and no SP2 on XP Pro. Every time XP Pro is restarted I can not access data on server until I manually renew IP. I can browse network and I can see server, when expand server, can see shared folders but when try to access it, get msg, can not find specified path. System is dhcp and only after renewing ip I get access to data. The same happened on all other WinXPPro workstations. Win98 workstations do not have this problem. I should add that server is setup as workgroup server, not domain.

Well, I don't know. But I would try fixed IP for a while and if that works, the first place I would poke around would be the DHCP settings - particularly scope options and see if something is not right there.
