Thanks in Advance for everything,

Here is the Issue,

I have a Small Network ( for Lab Work MCSE ) 2 Domain controllers, Running Active directory. Both Running DNS, and the Primary Domain Controller is Running DHCP.

I have one server running SQL. it is On the domain , but does nothing accept handle SQL

At this Point all computers are able to communicate with all servers. 5 Clients total, 1 win98 SE and 4 Win2000Pro.

the Prmary Domain Controler ( Named server ) is able to log on to the other Domain Controler ( Named server2 ) and access all of the shared folders as well as Manage it.

My Problem is that I am not able to access the PDC (server) from the secondary DC (server2) I receive an error Message stating " \\server is not accessible. Logon Failure: The Target Account is incorrect "

I also Receive an Error Message in the Event Viewer as Follows;

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MRxSmb
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3034
Date: 1/13/2003
Time: 9:11:58 PM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER2
Description:
The redirector was unable to initialize security context or query context attributes.
Data:
0000: 00 00 08 00 02 00 56 00 ......V.
0008: 00 00 00 00 da 0b 00 80 ....Ú..?
0010: 00 00 00 00 22 03 09 80 ...."..?
0018: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0028: 6c 04 00 00 22 03 09 80 l..."..?

This Error is generated every time I attempt to log on to the PDC (server) from the Secondary DC (Server2).

I have Checked for work arounds and fixes at http://www.eventid.net but have notbeen able to resolve this issue.

I have checked the DNS settings, DHCP , Active Directory ect... But still no Luck.

I have also Attempted to reset the Secondary DC ( server2 ) thru netdom reset server2 I get a message that it was successful but the issue remains the same.

Also, in the Active Directory Sites and Services when I attempt to Replicate thru NTDS I am able to replicate from the PDC to the SDC but not from SDC to the PDC. I receive the following Error Message: The following error occurred during the attempt to syncronize the domain controllers: Accessis denied.

Any Ideas??/

Thanks,

Did you check to be sure there is not another computer account in the domain with the same name?

I have looked thru the DNS MMC Several times for errors.

I have Found only one Duplicate It is For one of the Win2K Pro Workstations. I have found no other duplicates anywhere.

I have also looked in Active directory Users and Computers. There seem to be no Duplicates here Either.

I have Not been able to remove the duplicate Workstation Pointer in Reverse lookup Zones on server2 for some reason. I delete it and is seems to find it's way back in there.

Any Other Ideas?

Did you create an account for yourself on this server with Admin rights?

"\server is not accessible. Logon Failure: The Target Account is incorrect "

Seems like you checked everything else.
