Hi guys, here's an interesting one. I've got an access database that as soon as it opens, it will disappear in around 5 to 6 heartbeats. Regardless of what you're doing. I've already tried the article suggested by Microsoft and it's no good. As a side note, is it just me or is their knowledge base just getting worst by the day?
Anyway, I wasn't getting much leads rfom Microsoft or Expert IT so I thought I'd come to you guys. At leasr with Expert IT and you guys, I get a response.Thanks.
Yours such and such,
Ka Kwok

Does it shut down, or maybe just "close" to the right or left? I had that happen to me once, thought it was gone, but it was really there. Doesn't sound like the same thing, but thought I'd throw it out there for ya'.

I have this (or something similar) happen all the time with Access2002. It will open fine a few times and then it does what you say yours is doing. After it does that, I always have to end the MSACCESS.exe process in Task Manager to get my MDB to open.
I haven't found a fix for it but I'd like to forewarn you about Office SP2. I applied that hoping it would fix it but all it did was mess up my Access even more! Now I can't create graphs in reports any more. I also can't drag more than one field at a time in forms.
I tried re-applying Office SP2 but it didn't help and like a ding-bat, I didn't opt to archive files so I could roll it back ... I am probably going to go back down to Office Pro 2000 because I like it so much better.
Good luck - Vanessa
