I have notice a lot of people that are having problems with their about blank homepage being hijack. I have just recently defeated that problem and here is what I have found out. About blank is part of the Cool web search spyware. I would recomend downloading cwshedder from here : http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html If cwshedder does find something and doesn't remove it you can generate a report which will display a bunch of log information. There is usually a dll file in this report that it finds that it can not delete. Manually delete this dll file and run spybot and adaware. Reboot and you should be okay. I have also notice that sometime HiJack this will pick up this dll file as well. Hijack This can be found at. http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html. Hopefully this will help.
