We have more than 10 W2K computers on a network that I would like to be able to access shared folders on a particular PC that
has security software clone folders.

No matter what I do, however, I can't always access this clones folder even though I've set this PC to share/permit all the PCs to access the clones folder.

Is there a way around this w/o buying W2K Server?

Thanks so much!

Not sure what you mean by "clone folder".

But i suggest to build a small Linux/Samba server with a pentium 200Mhz box. This will cost $200 Max and will be extremly secure with a minimum of resources.

on the local machine(shared) try assigning the guest account with read permissions, that usually fixes it :)
