I have a question about the wireless card.
I bought a Netgear MA401NA Wireless PC Card 802.11B a month ago to use the LAN in university. One day when I returned home, I happened to found some signal with the notebook. And I can go through internet with this card.

Several days ago, I can not connect to internet, even if the card can still sense the signal. And the icon on the right bottom of the screen is in green color. Do you know what's wrong and how can I figure it out?

Another thing is do you know how I can find the owner of this Wireless signal. I want to share the cost with him.

Since I am new to this and do not know where to get help, any help is well appreciated. If this is not the correct place to post this question, can anyone tell me where I can find answer to this or similar problems?

The person you're trying to share internet with has probably spotted you on their network and cut you off... (possibly)

Also, normal Home wireless systems only go about 150 feet or so, it's probably your neighbor... you could always just ask them for help ;)

You might also want to check the SSID of the wireless nic and set it to "ALL"
