Hi I dont know if I'll sound stupid or not but here goes. I had my system setup for a dual boot with 98 as the default. I had to format the c: & forgot to save the boot.ini file. Can someone let me see what one would look like so I can recreate mine? I hope that made sense.. thank you

what you did is that u made your pc. so you won't be able to choose between 98 and 2000 startup menu even win2000 partition still exist on your hdd. In this case, quickest solution is install win98 on your c: as you do (I asuuming that your win98 was on your c:)secondly install win2000 but choose r e p a i r option, and choose manual or fast repair, you may need win2000 erd disk but sometimes don't. this procedure will bring you the your startup screen back. Good luck!
