hey here are my specs: 1.7ghz Intel Celeron Processor (Socket 478) 512 SD Ram Geforce 4 MX 440 64 Meg Video Card Asus P4SDR Motherboard Win 2k Pro OS
Windows 2k is great, its the most stable Windows OS, but the only problem I have with it is games. For example I would play Quake 3 and the graphics would be a little choppy. I tried changing the video settings etc. but it would still be the same. And I also tried to install Return to Castle Wolftenstein but it wouldn't install. saying there was something wrong with the media file on the cd. But that cant be true coz before I installed Win2k I was using Windows XP PRO on the same computer but I didn't have any of the problems I currently having with games.
I read a few posts and some ppl said W2K isn't designed for games. Is this true?

I'm on Win2K and I have no problems with any games. Your hardware is holding you back more than your OS.

XP would have had more up-to-date drivers than W2K. I suggest upgrading to the latest video card drivers to start with, followed by DIRECTX. Upgrade mobo and sound drivers if the situation doesn't improve.
