2000 Won't install

I changed Mother Boards on my computer then later got a new harddrive. When I try to install windows I get a message saying the OS was distrubited with another computer and install will be cancled.
Obviously this must have something to do with the BIOS and something on the disk... Any suggestions?

it sounds like you ripped the OS off a harddisk that comes with the OS already on it. Laptops sometimes do this, where the OS CD is actually on another partition and you use a floppy disk to reinstall the OS from the other partition.
Not to sure what you can do except contact Microsoft as you do have the license dont you!

no it's the actual disk (cd-rom) that came with the computer. It installs fine with the old M/B just not the new one. So I am sure somewhere in install it does some kind of BIOS check

Humm... that is strange.
What about BIOS virus checker.
Also is it an offical OS CD or an OEM's disk? if its an OEM's disk, contact them else get hold of an offical Microsoft CD and use that as you hold the license to install the OS.
