On the CD is a folder with the diskette creation tools, if you boot PC with W98SE boot disk, floppy image availble from www.bootdisk.com, you can start PC with CD support and create the 4 diskette set. VOILA!

If you want to boot from your Win 2000 CDROM, you need to set the boot sequence so that CDROM is the first boot device, not the floppy like it is now.

Does this apply only to win2k? Cause at the moment 98se will boot like it is. I'll try and see :)

dont worry abt boot sequence at all
1. make sure the win2k CD is bootable (very important) else use a win98se boot floppy and boot from floppy and say START WITH CD ROM SUPPORT 2. just put the cd rom ahead of your HDD in the boot sequence... it doesnt matter if the floppy is ahead of the cdrom drive.. just make sure no floppy is in it (if yuou are booting from da CD) 3. make sure your CD rom drive is detected in the BIOS and chk the IDE and power cables 4. then start the installation
you shud not have a problem with it then

You could use the 4 W2K boot-floppies...
If you don't have them, can't 'make' them (the makeboot util is on the CD), then downlaod a set of images (4 in all) from:
http://www/bootdisk.com
Save them to a hard-drive; (self-)expand each to a floppy; use those floppies.
Using a '98 boot-disk - those whoe who are familiar that approach usually advise you will need smartdrive loaded (on/via the '98 boot-disk)?

OK don't bother with the 2000 boot disks. Download the 98se disk w/out RAMDrive. Then boot from this diskette. At the DOS prompt, type SMARTDRV and press enter. Then, type R: and press enter. Then type cd i386 and press enter. Last, type winnt and press enter. Follow the instructions onscreen.
Good Luck
