Comment: We are currently having a reoccuring problem with our Domain Controller that is running DNS and DHCP. The server appears to be losing it's connection to the network on a sporatic basis. (i.e. workstations cannot ping, access internet, etc..) The computer itself is not locked-up or non-functional when this occurs, it just results in other computers inability to access DNS and also authentication problems into the network. I have updated the box to the latest 2000 service pack and the drivers have been updated on the NIC's. In review of the Event viewer, no distict issues are found that would help resolve this problem. I have addressed this problem with Microsoft and the Hardware vendor, and neither were able to come up with a resolution. The network cards on board are (2) Intel NIC ports and I have also added a 3rd 3Com Card to test and found no improvement. The physical wiring to the network cards have been verified and found functional. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Reply: (edit)Are you using just one network interface? what are you connecting to? A managed switch? Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
